The primary purpose of collecting personal information from attendees of Coterie Connect webinars or live broadcast events is to facilitate the organisation and delivery of these events, ensuring participants have full access to the content provided. This encompasses registration processes, event management, and post-event communications, including access to recordings where applicable.

The processing of your personal data for these events is based on the lawful basis of consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR), where you have explicitly agreed to the processing of your personal data for the specific purpose of attending our webinar or live broadcast event.

Information We Collect

For participation in our events, we require your email address to send you event details, including information about the recording of the event, if applicable. During the event, presenters will be recorded, and attendees may opt to share their image and audio, which will also be captured in the recording. Events featuring a moderated Q&A session will allow for attendee interaction, where comments may be shared with other participants and included in the event recording. Notification of recording will be provided in advance.

Use of Your Information

Your email address is used solely for the purpose of providing you with essential event details and, for recorded events, a link to the recording post-event. We may publish recordings on our website or social media channels to allow broader access to the event content, with prior notification given. We do not publish delegate lists, but your name and email address may be visible to other attendees during the event.

Data Retention

We retain your email address and any event recordings for a period of 12 months, after which they are securely deleted. Our retention schedule provides further details on how we manage personal data.

Your Rights

You have rights under data protection law regarding the processing of your personal data, including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your data. For more details, please refer to our “Your Data Protection Rights” section.

Data Processors and Transfers

We utilise Microsoft Teams for the delivery of our webinars and live broadcast events. Recordings may be published on platforms such as YouTube or Vimeo. These platforms may use non-essential cookies.
Data may be transferred to data centres operated by Microsoft, Vimeo, or Google, outside of the European Economic Area, under the protection of standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.
